Why walking is better than Trams
Alright first fun story for the new blog. Kelsey, my suitemate from Arizona, is crazy but in a good way. We have our czech language class together, which is kicking my butt. Any way after class we are supposed to meet some friends at a park. They were nice enough to give us a map so we could easily find the park after class and then all go to a nice chinese dinner. So Kelsey and I decide we are not sure how far away the park is and the best way to get there would be to hop on a tram at the city's center. Our first mistake. Off we go in the right direction on this fast moving tram looking at the map to see what stop we need to get off at. Well at the third stop we have yet to see the park and figure we are close so we will just walk the rest of the way. Come to find out we past the park. By the way, one of the guys was still in class then we left and told him directions and where to meet us. At this time we get a phone call saying he is at the park and can't find us. So now we start walking back in the other direction thinking the park is just a couple of blocks away. We were wrong. Instead of a park we found the exotic part of town with all kinds of video stores and clubs. So to make a really long story short about 45 minutes later we get to the park and it is only about 5 minutes north of where we started. Thank goodness the gang knows that this kind of thing happens if you let Kelsey and I try to find some place on our own.
Well we did make it to the Chinese place a little later. I must say for Czech Chinese it was very good and the thing called Horka Zmrzlina is crazy. For non czech speakers that would be Hot Ice Cream. This is not the Fried Ice Cream you get at the local Mexican place this is a Ball of Ice Cream coated in a cookie/cake batter type thing and then covered in brandy and lit of fire. It was insane to watch but even better to eat.
