Cultural Food

This weekend we moved into our new dorm on the other side of town. In each room there is a "kitchen" it has a sink, a small 2x2 box frig, and 2 hot plates. Which is better than nothing so I am pleased with it. We did make our first meal in the kitchen yesterday, well i watched my first meal made in my kitchen. Irena, from Slovinia taught Cass and I how to make "pancakes" which are very thin and instead of putting syrup on them you put Nuttela and/or fruit inside, roll it up and put ice cream and whipped cream on top. If my sister Megan was here I know that she would live off of that and fried Chesse. The other thing "we" made was Kuhano Vino. Also known as Hot Wine. You take some White wine and add sugar and cloves and such and boil it. By the time it is all finished the wine taste like hot apple cider and not wine, just the way i like my wine.

As for the rest of the new dorms, I don't think you can fully understand the showering experience until you try it yourself. I am going to try my best to explain it though. So at first it looks like an actual Bathtub but really its only a 5 inch deep tub on a platform. Also on this platform a mere 6 inches above the rim of the tub is the sink. No the sink is not attached next to the tub it is attached to the tub and is actually above the tub. They use the same faucet and water knobs. There is a switch to direct the water to the sink or to the shower, which is just drapped across the sink anyways. It is very strange but it is only for 3 months.

Roomate wise. I do finally have a roomate her name is Tatyana, she is from Belarus and is an environmental chemist. Thats all i know so far.
